Some thoughts on Kiwami Strategy and notes on the future.

Kiwami Family,

You may have noticed that we did not mention a roadmap on any Kiwami socials (Twitter, Discord). This was intentional. Not because Team Kiwami has no plans to care and nurture for the collection, but rather to be honest and transparent while adhering to the Kiwami ethos to the best of our ability.

To that end, we have no roadmap. We have what we call Kiwami Strategy.

Kiwami Strategy is currently broken out in a number of distinct areas and subject to change at any time (see https://kiwami.app for more details). In the context of any organization, there must exist both strategic plans alongside tactical plans. In Kiwami’s Rinen (philosophy) it states: “Kiwami is redefining what it means to be an authentic brand.” What does this mean? To us, Kiwami is anime. Kiwami is the most authentic anime art in this space. If the brand is successful, it simply means enough people agreed Kiwami is a community and project they would want to be associated with. In even simpler terms, they wouldn’t hesitate to change their digital avatar and associate their digital identity to Kiwami art on Twitter or Discord.

From the beginning, our goal was to build a natural and well-structured foundation of a community. Our initial tactical plan was to ensure our Twitter and Discord presence was the cleanest and most user-friendly experience of any project in the space.

Our second tactical plan was to build and maintain trust. We understand the NFT landscape has evolved considerably over the last 18 months (since members of Team Kiwami first entered the space) with considerable failures by multiple teams and influential individuals who broke the spirit and trust of thousands. With this in mind, transparency and trust has been and will always be top of mind with Kiwami.

So how do we build and maintain trust? Over time and through repetition. To start, we made no grandiose promises. We have been overt in our communication and execution. Some examples so far include:
